Importance

9 Aug

The Importance of drinking

Is vital.

To the Existence of living.

It is crucial.

To breathe in the knowledge

Of Ethereal continuity

Which connects with One.

Fail to drink, to eat,

and die.

Slowly, painfully..

dry and starving,

You cannot make it

Alone.

Your arrogance,

In self-sufficiency,

Makes me weep,

After I die laughing.

Soon you will too.

The Light in the darkness,

Cannot be found by pushing

Blindly. In the Dark.

You have to accept the Dark within

To See the Light above.

Looking to oneself for

Guidance brings gnashing

Of Teeth…tearing of

Hair, clothes, life…

I fail.

You fail.

There is only

One who does not.

His touch is Real,

His breathe Reviving,

His love Redeeming,

His Hand Restoring,

All you have to do,

Is put yours in His.

We’ve Got a Job to Do!

8 Jul

Today, I got to go to a Jr High grad. In Mexico, we have three years of Jr. High and three of High School. A bit more balanced! :) Ha, anyways, there were so many kids there! Each one in their own world with their own thoughts. It boggles my mind how many are living lives away and apart from Christ! The glorious wonders they miss out in living apart from God! It breaks me heart, yet challenges me as well. All of these need Christ. And so many more! What is a life if it is not devoted to bringing more souls to know this grand and magnificent One I call Lord and Savior!! I’d rather die a million deaths than live without HIM as KING of me.

Desert Land Hearts

17 Jun

So, in keeping with the desert theme from yesterday…I’ve decided to post a poem I wrote a few years ago. In my town, there are many vendors who come selling their wares. While we may not buy, we always try to give them something to drink. And mama always tries to find a gospel tract to give them, too. You know, without the tract…the sign of in whose name the cup of cold water comes from….the water is eternally useless.

Broken hearts in a thousand eyes

Searching for refreshment from the daily dry

Soul, sole, souls, soles

Wandering, wondering vendors

Little bit of wares, little bit of money

Empty pockets, empty hearts

But oh! The filling found in Christ

Cup o’ cold water in a desert land

A tract with the Message given to their hand

Will the door be opened?

The eyes, the heart unveiled?

Hungry?

8 Jun

So, today at the cell group meeting today I got hungry. Real hungry. My stomach was giving me hunger pains even.

Finnaly, the meeting was over. Yay for snack! After helping hand out some sweet bread, I took one. Ate it fast, then got another. At last, full.

And it was only dry bread with some sugary stuff on top…my mind turns to another kind of hunger. Spiritual hunger.

Today, at cell group we talked about the fact that many of us have been inviting folks to the studies, but few come. They show spiritual hunger and ask for prayer, but few take the initiative to come to a bible study. I don’t get it…only answer I can come up with is…God’s not set it in their hearts to come. When He does, they will. We are called to show the way, not save anyone. That’s His job.
